Stand-up paddling · Apple Watch and iPhone
Know what every stroke did.
Paddaro counts your strokes by side from your Apple Watch, then shows where your speed went: side changes, turns, current and wind. Each number comes with a plain account of how it was worked out.
Coming to the App Store. Free.
Built for paddlers who train, by one who wanted these numbers.
Every stroke, and which side
The Watch reads your wrist 200 times a second and counts each stroke as you take it, with its side, so you see strokes per side, rate and distance per stroke live on your wrist and after the paddle.
What a side change costs
Paddaro lines up every switch in a session and shows how much speed and time each one cost you, and how much longer the gap is across a switch than between strokes on one side.
Turns, measured
Each turn gets its direction, angle, radius and the strokes on each side that drove it, so a buoy turn or a pivot drill can be compared with the last one.
The water, not just the wind
Out-and-back paddles show the current you paddled against, band by band. On dam-fed water Paddaro estimates the current ahead of time from the release schedule.
Plan before you launch
Hour by hour wind from four forecast models, a water grade on the Beaufort scale, water temperature, and in California the latest bacteria samples and algal bloom reports near your spot. No account needed.
Your data goes where you send it
Sessions save to Apple Health and sync to your Paddaro account. Upload to Strava with one tap. No ads, no third-party analytics, and you can delete everything from the app.

Honest about what's measured
Stroke counts and sides are new, so they're marked beta in the app until they've been checked across many paddlers. Estimates like current are labelled as estimates. How it measures explains every number, what has been checked against video, and what hasn't.
